It's time to take the competitive advantage. Start by using higher density fax platforms that will give you and your customers the ability to send more faxes using minimal chassis space.

The SC family of computer-based fax boards is ideal for developers who may need to mix and match high-density, high-powered fax boards used in service bureaus and voice-related applications. The CP4/SC™, CP6/SC™ and CP12/SC™ provide four, six, and twelve channels of capability that connect to PEB™ and SCbus™, enabling a variety of configurations, including an access to a large number of analog and digital line interface options, and the ability to mix and match computer telephony components from Dialogic and other companies.

Each GammaLink cell is a microprocessor-based facsimile modem with its own CPU, custom ASIC, 512 K of RAM, and 32 K PROM. These features allow each channel to function as an independent, computer-based facsimile subsystem interfacing with the host computer.

The CP6/SC and CP12/SC will be found in many applications including fax broadcasting, interactive voice-fax response, and T-1 connections for fax.

SCSA™ compatible, the CPxx/SC line integrates well with complimentary SCSA-compatible hardware. Developers who build applications on the SCSA platform now have scalable, flexible, and reliable fax solutions to choose from.

CONFIGURATIONS

The flexible and scalable nature of the PEB and SCbus environments allows the application developer to mix and match a large variety of computer telephony components from Dialogic and others. These examples illustrate how Dialogic fax products can be used in analog and digital environments, with and without voice processing capability.

VOICE/FAX ANALOG MODE

Application Case: A customer is installing an information-on-demand system and anticipates receiving more voice than fax calls. The customer requires 12 fax channels, and a fax call-back (two-call) system is sufficient

SOLUTION SET

  • 1 CP12/SC board
  • 1 D/121B™
  • 1 LSI/120™ board
FAX-ONLY T-1 MODE

Application Case: A US-based enhanced fax-specific service bureau that needs at least six T-1 lines of fax to handle their peak traffic.

SOLUTION SET

  • 2 CP12/SC boards
  • 1 EA24™ board or 1 DTI/240SC™ board
VOICE/FAX/T-1 MODE

Application Case: A customer is installing an information-on-demand system. 24 voice lines and 12 fax channels (that can be shared across the 24 voice lines) are required. The customer wants to enable both one-call and two-call fax capability.

SOLUTION SET

  • 2 CP12/SC boards
  • 1 D/240SC-T1™ board
